Ari's first National Radio Club convention (Labor Day weekend)

Last week was consumed almost entirely with taking care of a convalescing Scott, who had his wisdom teeth extracted that Monday (December 6). Although there were no complications, we were unpleasantly surprised to discover that recovery takes twice as long when you're in your 30s (as Scott is) as it does in your teens (which is when Lisa had her teeth out). Plus, Lisa had a cold and was trying to ensure that Ari had a festive Chanukah, not to mention it was Nanny's (that's Grand-Nan to Ari) 90th birthday...a wonderful event marked by two celebrations, both far away from the computer. So as Scott continues to heal, Lisa fights off the dregs of congestion and Chanukah winds down, here is our next back of Ari pics!

Ari DXs at Jim Renfrew's house with Blaine Thompson, Tony DeNicola and Mike Lantz.

The attendance board from NRC. It's hard to see it, but "Ariel Fybush" is at the bottom of the column second from right.

Ari couldn't sleep after the gathering at Jim Renfrew's house, so she had a little pajama party in the convention room, though everyone else was dressed. Here she hangs with Fred Vobbe.

Ari and Niel Wolfish look at Daddy's many photo albums of transmitter sites.

The NRC group photo. We're in the front row on the right.

To close out the convention, a group of people went to see the Rochester Red Wings at Frontier Field. When you bring a group to the ballpark, you get your name on the board!

Some of the NRC contingent: Larry Stoller, Dave Marthouse, Jerry Bond, John Malicky and Jon German. In the front row with Lisa are friends Jason and Melanie Childers, who didn't attend the radio convention but decided to meet us at the ballgame. Now you have your picture on the site, Jason!

A family photo. Notice Ari dressed appropriately for a baseball game!

Ari and Saul Chernos. Saul doesn't have any children, which is why he didn't check to make sure Ari wasn't flashing the camera!

Nanny and Grandpa were also at the game, with their friends Michael and Hinda Miller, so Ari visited them for a few innings.

NEXT: A NEW YEAR!
