Ari's first birthday landed on Erev Rosh Hashanah.
Since we couldn't have an evening party, we went out to lunch
at Bill Gray's. But before we ate, Ari opened her presents. Nanny
gave her a quilt that folds into a travel pillow, which Ari picked
out herself at the Clothesline Festival. |

gets a head start on the ice cream. |
Ari caught up quickly, though. She has never turned
down ice cream! |

Ari prepares for a post-birthday lunch nap, despite
still being wired from her party. The pink ribbon decorating
her crib was from one of her presents. |
Happy Birthday to me...thanks for helping me celebrate,
everyone! |
