As we mentioned in the last page, Ari's first birthday
landed on Erev Rosh Hashanah. On the night of Rosh Hashanah,
we followed our five-year tradition and went to dinner at the
Summit, hosted by Grand-Nan. Ari was happy to spend time with
her Aunt Julie and Uncle Chris, as you can see. |
Nanny and Grandpa were there too, of course. |
Dinner is served...but first, Ari and Aunt Julie practice
their "cool" gestures. |
Food, food, gimme food! |
After dinner, Uncle Chris helps Ari practice her drumming
moves. |
Because it was the day after Ari's birthday, Grand-Nan,
at left, ordered a cake for Ari. |
Ari and Nanny gaze admiringly at the cake... |
...before Mom helps her blow out her candle. |
Aunt Julie is amused watching Ari devour her
dessert. |
Cake? Ice cream? Bring it on! |
Ari relaxes after dinner with Grand-Nan and
Nanny. That's Grand-Nan's friend Ira Whiteman in the background. |
Ari says hello to Winston, Great-Aunt Jeani's
longtime bear companion. |
