Ari and her family visited Manhattan last month. I've
already lost track of how many Big Apple trips this makes for
Ari. I think three, but that's only if you don't count the metropolitan
area...she's been to Westchester and Rockland counties way more
than that. Here, Ari rides the subway with Nanny. |
Catching up with our good friend Jeremy, due to be
a dad in his own right this summer! |
 |
 |
|
Ari got to meet yet another Erman cousin...Michael,
the youngest in Lisa's generation, who took time from his very
busy schedule at Reuters to have lunch with us at Ben's Kosher
Deli. |
Ari's radio friends Famous Amos and Anita Bonita also
joined us for lunch. Anita actually picked the restaurant, which
was a pretty good stand-in for the now-defunct Second Avenue
Deli...but Second Avenue, we will never forget you! (boo-hoo) |

Ari and Nanny stroll through Midtown Manhattan, just
past Times Square. |
Ari meets the alien ambassador of Mars 2112. |
 |
Even though the pictures are quite old now, the tease
on the last page said "Red Sox Nation," so we're going
to deliver!
So scroll down for Ari's visit to Boston after the Red Sox won
the 2004 World Series! |

Nanny stopped at the Hello Deli (a great place for
lunch, especially because they're really inexpensive for Manhattan!)
around the corner from the Ed Sullivan Theater, to meet deli
owner and Late Show with David Letterman regular Rupert Jee. |

Ari was decked out in her best Red Sox garb for Game
4, which we watched at the home of WXXI personnel and fellow
Sox fans Peter Iglinski and Julia Figueras. |
Ari admires the Boston Globe's enthralling headline
at cousins Alan and Suzanne's house. |

|
Ari and her daddy mill around Fenway Park the
day before the victory parade, along with thousands of other
fans. |
Ari really enjoyed the parade the next morning,
even though it meant getting up at 5:30 a.m. to head into Boston
to secure spectator space, and Ari barely slept the night before! |
 |
 |
|
Ari dressed for the parade in her Red Sox wind suit.
Members of the Nation thought she was so cool that they helped
her onto the subway and cleared space for her by the police barricades! |
The parade group: Ari, Mommy, Daddy and cousin
Elizabeth. |
