In this week’s issue… Budget cuts hit Townsquare markets – WBEN rearranges schedule – WPDH’s Taylor steps down – K-Love prepares for PA additions – “Swan” preens in VT

*It’s been a bad month to be a Townsquare Media employee at many of the company’s markets, with job cuts hitting stations as far away as Oklahoma, but also at several clusters in the Northeast.
As our sister publication RadioInsight reported, the cuts have been quietly underway for a while now, but the pace seems to be accelerating lately.
In MAINE, morning man Rob Riccitelli is out at WCYY (94.3 Biddeford)/WPKQ (103.7 North Conway NH), where he’d been working for the last year and a half. Riccitelli’s WCYY career started in 2000 and lasted 16 years before he moved to Saga’s WYNZ/WMGX, then went into real estate before rejoining WCYY in late 2023. There’s no replacement named so far at the alternative station.
Jolana Miller, who had a long career in Connecticut, Cape Cod and Westchester radio (including the PD chair at the old WFAS-FM), came to Townsquare in 2021 as brand manager for its “Shark” stations (WSHK/WSAK) in NEW HAMPSHIRE, then became Townsquare’s national classic hits afternoon host in early 2024. She’s out as well, though she still has a weekend gig in Boston at Audacy’s WWBX.
In NEW JERSEY, Daniel Tantillo was with WKXW (New Jersey 101.5) for a dozen years, starting as an intern, then serving as production director and hosting weekdays before becoming regional production director two years ago; now he’s out as well.
And in Utica, NEW YORK, the budget ax claimed the job of WIBX (950) brand manager and morning co-host Megan Stone, another Connecticut radio veteran who came to WIBX two years ago after spending time as a producer and reporter at ABC Radio.
THE CLOCK IS TICKING…
As we announced a few weeks ago, the 2026 edition of the Tower Site Calendar will be the last.
We began publishing it 25 years ago, and the broadcast landscape is radically different now.
Radio World just ran an excellent article about us if you want to know more.
Once it’s gone, that’s it. We won’t be printing any more.
Thank you to everyone who saw our announcement and rushed to buy it. We appreciate you.
(There are some calendars from previous years if you want more of a tower photo fix — all under $5.)
But don’t wait to get this year’s Tower Site Calendar — buy it now!
We are selling the Broadcast Historian’s Calendar again this year, but we have that in an even smaller quantity — definitely don’t hesitate for that.
And visit the Fybush Media Store to check out our selection of books and videos, too!
