Top of the Tower Podcast #038: WGBH Radio’s Phil Redo

In this week’s edition:

Phil Redo will retire next year after a decade at the helm of Boston’s WGBH Radio, but his career has been much broader than just public radio.

He’s been a pioneering FM radio DJ on Cape Cod, one of the nation’s foremost soft AC programmers at stations such as WLTW and WMJX, the market manager at Boston’s Greater Media cluster – oh, and he’s a painter, too!

In this episode, Redo joins us from the WGBH studios in Boston for a wide-ranging conversation about what’s made WGBH unique in the public radio universe, the future of radio in a digital universe, and some great stories from his many years in the business, too.
