We’re back from a week away in New York at the AES and NAB New York shows, where we gathered plenty of material you’ll be hearing in upcoming editions of Top of the Tower!

This week, we start with a look at what’s going to happen in the real world now that the FCC has voted to pull the plug on its main studio rule. Did it outlive its time – or was it still a vital protection for local radio? (More opinion on that over at Lance Venta’s RadioInsight.com, too…)

And we have some interviews from the show floor – hear from engineers extraordinaire Nick Straka, Tom Ray and Dan Hyatt about what they saw and heard in New York.
